We looked at the carbon footprint of a cheeseburger. We looked at all the components to make a cheeseburger, including all the farms to grow wheat to make flour and then bread as well as tomato and lettuces to make salad. Then, of course, we had cows to make milk for cheese and finally for the meat. Producing and transporting all of these contributes to an estimated 10 lbs CO2 released into the atmosphere for every cheeseburger we eat.
